Non-Executive Director
Dean is a CIPFA- qualified accountant who is currently a self-employed management consultant and non-executive director, primarily in NI Health Sector. His recent consultancy roles include stocktake of the NI Regional Co-ordination Centre for unscheduled care on behalf of the six HSC Trust Chief Executives. He also took on a recent role with Southern Trust, providing strategic, operational and governance support.
Dean’s previous roles include Chief Strategy Officer for the Irish Health Service Executive (2017-2024). Before this he held the title of Director of Commissioning at the NI Health Social Care Board (2010-2017) after being a DOH civil servant from 2003-2010. For a period of eight years, Dean was a management consultant with Price Waterhouse and PA Consulting Group and trained with the National Audit Office.
Dean will chair the NIAO's Audit and Risk Assurance Committee.
