On 6 September 2018, the Minister for Implementation in the Cabinet Office, Oliver Dowden, announced that the NI Audit Office had been successful in an application for funding from GovTech Catalyst, (a £20million fund launched by the Cabinet Office in November 2017 to help the public sector identify and work with cutting edge technology firms to find innovative solutions to operational service and policy delivery challenges).
As a successful applicant we will have up to £1.25 million of funding to challenge private sector firms to develop a data enabled public sector audit approach with the aim of making better use of data to improve the efficiency of audit.
Our GovTech competition closed on Wednesday 9th January.
